Katherine is from Mosakahiken Cree Nation of Manitoba, currently living and working in Vancouver BC, located on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, or Tsleil-Waututh Peoples. Working as a Research Associate with Reciprocal Consulting, Katherine is also studying to complete her advanced master’s degree in social work at UBC. Katherine has grown up with amazing role models and is honoured to have received a Certificate of Recognition paying tribute to a lifetime of sobriety and for her commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. Katherine studied at the University of Manitoba-Thompson Campus graduating on the Dean’s list with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. She is passionate about healing, teaching, and welcoming and supporting Indigenous women and their families. Katherine continues to share her knowledge and is active within her communities as a Chairperson of the Flourishing Foundation, supporting women to lift communities, and is a member of the City of Vancouver Indigenous Advisory Committee, as well as the Women’s Advisory Committee.
