Marika St. Rose Yeo

Marika was born and raised on Treaty 4 territory. She is currently living and working on the ancestral, unceded and occupied territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the homelands of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking people. She completed her PhD through the Institute of Social Justice at the University of British Columbia in 2022. The focus of Marika’s dissertation concentrated on the creative possibilities generated through Black and Indigenous artistic practices to disrupt systems of harm in our global present. Before attaining her PhD Marika completed a BFA in ceramics at the University of Regina and she enjoys continuing to learn how to bring together creative practice and research in her work. Marika is happy to join and learn from the work and research at Reciprocal Consulting.
